Cal Poly Commencement and Mustang Media Group are offering several ways for faculty, staff and departments to recognize and celebrate this year’s graduates!

Purchase a Graduation Celebration Slide to feature a graduate’s photo and message on the jumbotron during their ceremony. Write a “Dear Mustang” letter with a heartfelt note — delivered directly to graduates’ Cal Poly email. Supporters can also place a message in the special Graduation Edition of Mustang News, with full-, half-, or quarter-page options to spotlight achievements and share photos.

Cal Poly Graduate Celebration Slide

Celebrate the Class of 2026 by purchasing a Cal Poly Graduate Celebration Slide!

Cal Poly Graduate Celebration Slides give you the unique opportunity to honor and recognize your Mustang's achievements in a big way on the big screen.

Send a special message to your graduate for them to see on the jumbotron as they enter Spanos Stadium. Each slide will showcase your graduate's name, degree, college, two photos and your message.

All slides will run in a celebratory slideshow on the jumbotron before each college commencement ceremony on June 13 and 14 for graduates and guests to view as they enter Spanos Stadium.

With each purchase, you will receive:

One celebratory slide featuring a special message to your graduate and two photos that will play on the jumbotron at Spanos Stadium during Commencement 2026 weekend.
One printed keepsake photo of your slide.
One digital file of your slide.

Cal Poly Grad Ads

Congratulate the Class of 2026 on their graduation from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a celebratory advertisement in Mustang News’ Graduation Edition.

The Mustang News one-of-a-kind graduation edition offers your graduating student the chance to reminisce over their remarkable journey at Cal Poly. Featuring a stunning collection of photos and stories carefully curated by the award-winning team at Mustang News, our commemorative edition captures the essence of college life and provides a treasured keepsake for years to come.

Parents and supporters, share your favorite message, photo, or both with your precious grad via an ‘advertisement’ located in the back of the edition alongside the rest of the class of 2026. Don’t miss out on this highly sought-after opportunity to celebrate your student’s achievements and the memories made along the way!

How it Works:

Choose either a half page, quarter page, or full page.

Submit payment via the PAC website.

After purchasing, an email will be sent with a form link to submit your graduate’s baby or grad photo.

A designer from Mustang Media Group will reach out to make sure your ad is to your liking!

Dear Mustang Graduate

Show how Cal Poly Proud you are of your graduate by writing a “Dear Mustang Grad” letter!

The “Dear Mustang Grad” campaign is a meaningful way to celebrate the Class of 2026. Share your congratulations, highlight achievements, offer words of wisdom, reflect on memories or give thanks to your graduate.

To keep the surprise, we ask that you do not share your letter in advance. Once submitted, the Commencement Office will prepare to deliver your digital message to your graduate in June.

Letter Submission Instructions:

Click the "Submit Your Letter" button above.
Complete the required fields and click "Submit."
Check your inbox for an email from Student Affairs Student Affairs - Business Transformation via adobesign@adobesign.com with the subject line "Signature requested on "Dear Mustangs" and click "Review and Sign"
Sign into your Adobe account or create an account.
Complete the following fields:
1. Salutation (e.g. Dear Student,)
2. Letter (350 words max)
3. Closing (e.g. Love, Mom)
4. Signature
5. Click the blue "Click to Sign" button
You will receive a "You're all set" confirmation page. The Commencement Office staff will review your letter and prepare it to be delivered to your graduate. Please note: if a student’s email is invalid, the letter will be canceled and a new letter will need to be created.
Once approved, you will receive a final confirmation email. Please note: the final confirmation email will be sent at the same time your student is notified of their letter submission.
Your student will be notified via email that their letter is ready for viewing beginning in June.
Submitted letters may be considered for inclusion in the "Dear Mustangs" media campaign. No submission will be used publicly without the express permission of the sender.
